ARE YOUR CLASSES FOR ALL LEVELS? WHAT IF I CAN’T DO EVERYTHING?

Our coaches are highly trained in providing modifications for all fitness levels. No matter which class you choose, we will always do our best to provide modifications or adjustments to support wherever you are in your fitness journey.

ARRIVING LATE + LEAVING EARLY

If you’re not signed in 3 minutes prior to class, we will give away your reservation to someone on the waitlist. If you’re running late, you. must call the studio to hold your spot in class. We do not allow late entries to any of our classes. If you must leave early, please let the instructor know.

HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?

When someone cancels a reservation, the next person on the waitlist is automatically moved into the class and into the reservation that was cancelled. You will receive an email immediately notifying you.

If someone cancels their reservation less than 24 hours before the class start time, you will not be automatically added to the class. If you are highly interested in attending a waitlisted class, we recommend watching the roster on your Grit Fitness app less than 24 hours before.

WILL A SCHEDULED CLASS EVER GET CANCELLED?

Class enrollment has to be 3+ members in order to hold a class. If the attendance is less than 3, the class will be cancelled. If we notice this happening frequently, we will do our best to put something on the schedule that works in that time frame. We always love to hear feedback so send us a note if you love a time slot!

Any spot cancelled within 12 hours of class time is considered a late cancel and your account will be charged $10. If you no show for a reservation, your account will be charged $20. If you cancel your reservation more than 12 hours from class time, that credit will remain in your account for future us. Please contact our team by text at 256-710-2913 for late cancellations.

CANCELLATIONS

NO CELL PHONE POLICY

Class is a time to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself. Out of respect to the experience and your teammates, we do not allow cell phones in class or using your phone during class. If you are expecting an important call or message, please leave your phone with the front desk team and we will monitor it for you.

DO YOU HAVE LOCKER ROOMS?

Yes! And they’re fully equipped for both men and women. Towels, blow dryers, and an array of products are provided.

WHY DO YOU REQUIRE CYCLING SHOES?

We require that each rider clip into our pedals using cycling shoes. Clipping in allows you to utilize the full revolution of your pedal stroke and engage more of your muscles, which translates to a more effective workout. It also allows for a wider range of movement and increased safety.

WHEN DO CLASSES GO LIVE TO BOOK?

Booking for the upcoming Monday through Saturday opens every Saturday at 12 PM for VIP memberships and the following Sunday at 5 PM for all other memberships.

With a VIP membership, you get priority booking (one day before the regular schedule release) and free shoe rentals for cycle classes. The cancellation window for VIP members is 6 hours. Any spot cancelled within 6 hours of class time is considered a late cancel and your account will be charged $10. Please text 256-710-2913 for late cancellations.

VIP MEMBERSHIP PERKS

FAMILY/COUPLE MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES

The Couple Membership applies to couples who reside in the same household. The Family Membership applies to family members who reside in the same household with a five person limit per Family Membership. Additional family members will require additional fees.

If you want to change your membership, email a request to info@gritfitnessalabama.com. The new membership will go into effect on the next billing cycle.

CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP

A 30-day notice is required for all cancellations. Email your notice to info@gritfitnessalabama.com.

Membership freezes are applicable for longer, planned absences and allow you to pause your membership while maintaining your place in our community. During an approved freeze, billing is paused, and access to classes is temporarily suspended. Memberships automatically reactivate at the end of the approved freeze period unless otherwise arranged. Freezes cannot be applied retroactively, used for short-term schedule conflicts, or used to delay or avoid a scheduled payment.

Standard freezes require a minimum of 45 consecutive days, must be submitted at least 5 days before the requested start date, and are subject to a $35 per-month freeze fee. Memberships may be frozen for up to 3 months per calendar year, with a maximum of 2 freezes per year. Freeze policies apply only to monthly unlimited memberships; class packs and drop-ins are not eligible. Memberships purchased as part of a promotion, flash sale, or discounted commitment are not eligible for freezes until the commitment period is fulfilled, and freeze requests do not pause or extend minimum commitment requirements unless approved under an exception.

The $35 monthly freeze fee is waived for approved circumstances, including medical or injury-related recovery, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, unexpected life events, or military deployment. These situations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may extend beyond the standard freeze limits with studio approval. Documentation may be requested when appropriate, but we always aim to lead with trust and understanding.
